Game for a Business Challenge

What better way to navigate this new marketing terrain than Generation Z? FOX Sports University teamed up with College Park Scholars’ Business, Society and the Economy program this semester to develop marketing campaigns for a new gaming-focused joint venture from FOX Sports and social broadcast company Caffeine: Caffeine Studios. The 21 freshman and sophomore participants made their presentations to Caffeine and network executives this week.

In cars and SUVs stuffed with their still-in-the-wrapper gear, over 4,700 freshmen—and thousands of other students—and their families arrived on campus over the past few days to begin the academic year and get to know the campus, and each other.

Scholars recognizes Citation Class of 2022, Founders Circle Award winners
Students in College Park Scholars’s Citation Class of 2022 began their University of Maryland (UMD) careers in the fall of 2020, under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. They spent their first year almost entirely online: Some Zoomed into their program colloquium from their double-turned-single dorm rooms; others attended virtually from their families’ homes, away from campus.
