Erin Thomson
Erin Thomson is the assistant director for the Life Sciences program, after having served as the asst. director/asst. lecturer with another Scholars program since 2018. She graduated from the University of Maryland (UMD) with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and continued her studies at Bowie State University, where she earned a Master of Education in Administration. She is just beginning with the Literacy, Language & Society Ph.D. program in the College of Education.
A Scholars alum herself, Thomson spent 12 years teaching in the public school system in Maryland before coming back to the Scholars community. She enjoys spending time with her family, exercising with her two dogs, and relaxing with a good book and a huge mug of tea. Erin is excited to become an integral part of Life Sciences while helping students transition to college, foster community, and pursue their academics at UMD.
