Assistant Director, Environment, Technology and Economy
Dani Moore has a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Swarthmore College and a doctorate in biology from Arizona State University. Her doctoral dissertation concerned chemical communication in ant colonies.
After completing her PhD, Moore completed a solo, self-supported bike trip from Phoenix, Arizona, to Washington, DC, where she taught environmental science and biology in DC Public Schools for seven years. She has also worked as a professional tutor, an outdoor educator, a transportation researcher, and a bicycling advocate.
Moore’s interests include painting, biking, addressing climate change, and bearing witness to the splendor of the universe.
