As spring courses drew to a close, the Office of Undergraduate Studies held its annual reception in honor of the outstanding staff, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students and their accomplishments throughout the academic year.
The Graduate Assistant Award was given to Victoria Worley from College Park Scholars' Justice and Legal Thought program. Victoria was nominated by JLT's associate director, Dr. Justine DeCamillis.
Victoria has been a graduate assistant in JLT for the past four years, and in that time, she has been an exceptional educator, leader, and team member. In her nomination letter, Dr. DeCamillis shared how Victoria was essential in developing program curricula, served as co-instructor for a challenging research course, and designed impactful units within other courses.
Outside the classroom, Victoria has been a leader for service activities and experiential learning opportunities, helping students grow professionally, personally, and academically. She has worked hard with the Justice and Legal Thought team to cultivate a well-rounded program that students value deeply, and her contributions have made a lasting impact on College Park Scholars.
