Margaret (Peggy) McWeeney

Prior to attending UMD, Margaret (Peggy) McWeeney worked as a federal consultant focusing on issues pertaining to the U.S. Intelligence Community. In 2010, she received her M.A in International Relations from Syracuse University. She has traveled extensively engaging in development work in both South Africa and India. Upon entering UMD in 2013, she has engaged in research on state formation of national security policy and legitimacy of insurgent groups. Her interests include comparative national security policy, inter-state conflict, and the formation of rebel movements.
