Graduate Assistant; Environment, Technology and Economy
Marcie Kim graduated from the University of Maryland in spring 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and policy. She is an alumna of the International Studies Scholars Program and is looking forward to being involved with the Scholars community this year as a graduate assistant for ETE. She is passionate about addressing environmental issues in the international development sphere, specifically natural resources management in areas sensitive to conflict, scarcity and climate change. Kim is pursuing a master's degree in public policy with a concentration in international development. She has experience working in various areas of environmental policy, from nonprofit climate advocacy groups to the federal government. When Kim has free time, she loves to go rock climbing, hiking and running. She also can be found playing piano, exploring the art and music in Washington and occasionally baking some zucchini bread.
