Graduate Assistant; Justice and Legal Thought
Jane Polcen, Esq., is a Graduate Assistant for the Justice and Legal Thought Program. Ms. Polcen serves as the teaching assistant and grader for HIST 134S and also provides support for the program.
Ms. Polcen received a B.A. in history and political science from Davis and Elkins College in 1983; a J.D. from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law in 1988; an M.A. from St. John’s College in 2011; and an LLM in Constitutional Law from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law in 2012. Ms. Polcen is currently pursuing her doctorate in United States legal history at the University of Maryland.
Prior to joining College Park Scholars, Ms. Polcen served as an active duty judge advocate and chief of military justice in the Army. Her positions included prosecutor and defense counsel, appellate counsel, and Special Assistant US Attorney.
