Associate Director; Justice and Legal Thought
Erica Smith, Esq., is the associate director of Justice and Legal Thought. She plays an active role in curriculum design and is responsible for teaching within the program. In addition, Smith teaches a mock trial course in the Terp Young Scholars Program and a UNIV100 course for Freshman Connection. She is also a trained facilitator for the Words of Engagement Intergroup Dialogue Program.
Smith is a 2006 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law; and a 2009 graduate of Temple University, Beasley School of Law with an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy. She is an active member of the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of California.
Prior to joining College Park Scholars, Smith was the assistant director of J.D. Admissions at Georgetown University Law Center; a litigation associate at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP; and an associate in the business trial practice group of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP.
