Becky Shasha
Becky Shasha is a first-year doctoral student in the maternal and child health program in the Department of Family Sciences at the University of Maryland. Shasha earned her bachelor of arts in health and societies, with a minor in French, in 2015, and her master of public health in 2016, both from the University of Pennsylvania. She also has a project management professional (PMP) certification.
After completing her master’s, Shasha worked at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, conducting qualitative research on patient-centered care. She later joined Jhpiego, where she was a program manager for a family-planning survey in eight countries across Africa and Asia. She currently serves as a graduate assistant for the Global Public Health Scholars program.
