PEOPLE

The STS Program is a community of students, alumni, staff and faculty. There are opportunities for everyone to interact at Service Day, the Ropes Course, at the Freshman Colloquium, on Maryland Day, at STS Seminars, and at the Academic Showcase. Anyone associated with the STS Program is welcome to propose a social event and seek funding from the STS office. Please see the Calendar on the program's Home Page.

Staff The Staff include a director and assistant director, who each work half-time.

Instructors The Instructors include lectures and teaching assistants of the Colloquium, Practicum and Capstone courses.

Advisory Council An advisory council is being created in 2007, chaired by Prof. Jim Duncan.

Advisory Boards created by College Park Scholars and by the STS program.

Peer Mentors A network created by students in Spring 2009 and piloted in the coming fall. STS rising sophomore Sean Murphy was instrumental in starting the Peer Mentors.

Students Freshmen and Sophomores major in a wide variety of subjects.

Alumni Alumni of the STS Program are welcomed to speak with current students and to advise them about majors, internships and jobs. Contact the STS office to speak to the freshmen during Colloquium.
