Summer Orientation
College Park Scholars

- Thursday, July 10 - Friday, July 11, 2008
Each summer three orientation sessions are designated for students entering College Park Scholars. We strongly recommend that you select one of these 3 sessions when you register for Summer Orientation.
During the College Park Scholars Summer Orientation sessions, you have the opportunity to:
- Meet with faculty from your Scholars program;
- Review the course requirements for your program; and
- Learn what your experiences will be like as a Scholar.
And of course, you will have a chance to get to know some of the other students who will be in College Park Scholars with you.
Before you arrive at your Scholars Orientation, please:
- Be sure you know the name of the College Park Scholars Program to which you have been accepted. If you are not sure, please contact College Park Scholars;
- Review the Scholars program requirements and course requirements in your major prior to orientation;
- Generate a list of courses that would be of interest to you in fulfilling CORE requirements or elective credits.
- Complete all the pre-orientation steps in the New Terps Start Here section of the orientation website.
If your parents/guardians/family members will be accompanying you and participating in the Parent and Family Orientation, please be sure they also know which Scholars Program you are in.

If you were unable to attend one of the designated College Park Scholars orientation sessions, you are encouraged to contact your program faculty for details about your program.
